Caregiver Fatigue

People who provide intensive care for others often neglect caring for themselves.  This is especially true of new parents and of adults in the so-called “sandwich generation,” who are caring for both their children as well as their elderly parents, but it can also include people who work in various professions. When our responsibilities for others are high, it is common to feel guilt when taking time away in order to devote energy to ourselves.  However, self-care is vital for our physical and emotional health; and therapy can help you continue to meet your responsibilities to others while restoring balance and peace in your life.
